Hello! I’m Yolanda Cueva, and my journey to becoming a Certified Professional Electrologist began when I emigrated to New York at 19. After working in a factory and cleaning houses, I earned my GED and pursued higher education. I was inspired by a woman whose house I cleaned to become an electrologist like her. She told me I should become an electrologist because I would be good at it.

Receiving electrolysis myself was initially a source of shame, and I kept it a secret from friends and family. It wasn’t until Mrs. Susan brought it up again a year later that I took the next step. Motivated by her encouragement, I contacted the Berkowits School of Electrolysis in Queens, NY, for information. This phone call marked the beginning of my journey; I started my training there and began practicing electrolysis part-time in 1993.

I moved to Houston in 1995, dedicating myself full-time to electrolysis and helping others overcome their struggles with unwanted hair. Now, back in New York, I continue to empower clients with personalized, effective hair removal solutions, striving to deliver satisfaction and confidence through my work.
